Fully understand what a balance sheet is, what it is made up of and how to look for items you need for information
The significance of the accounting equation
How assets and liabilities are valued and what this value means to the reader whether investor, lender, owner or other stakeholder
Fully understand the meaning of Working Capital and how to obtain it and interpret it
Searching for information in published Balance Sheets including information in the notes of the Financial Statements
Make preliminary analysis of the health of the company using only the Balance Sheet. Or can we?
Lots of practice questions with full explanations and an extra case study to work on at the end of the course
